Who would have thought a dog reacting to fruit would break the Internet, but this pooch certainly has! When a dog’s hilarious reaction to a lemon was posted online, it quickly went viral with a whooping 26 million views.
This funny clip of pooch called Branch Cooper was first shared by his owner on his TikTok account @allaboutbranch a month ago. Captioned, “scared but spicy”, it shows him holding out a lemon with a segment cut out it. As Branch approaches the citrus fruit, he immediately jumps up, running in a circle while snapping at the lemon. At the end of the clip, we see the owner rolling the lemon on the floor towards Branch, as he ecstatically jumps up and down.

Branch’s hilarious viral reaction to the lemon was also posted on Instagram. It’s no surprise that this tickled many Netizens commenting on how funny it was.
One user commented, “I laughed a little too hard at this,” while another shared, “Um does this need to be a trend like the cats and cucumber? Because this is hilarious.” A user named, Lorilyn040970 asked: "Why is it sooo spicy?"
It is a well-known fact that dogs have their aversion to anything bitter which includes citrus fruit such as lemons, limes, oranges and grapefruit. "Dogs can taste bitter and they don't like it,” agrees Jan Dempsey, Purina Senior Nutritionist, “While dogs can also taste sour, it's not always a negative. For them, bitter is generally always a negative.”
Fortunately, Branch saw the positive and humorous side to this, and is now an Internet sensation!
