If you have a dog, then it’s likely both you and them can relate to this clip featuring Magnus the therapy dog quietly creeping up on his owner as he attempts to leave the house without taking the Labrador Retriever with him.
In a recent TikTok video, Magnus’s owner Brian Benson is filmed trying to quietly lift his keys off their hook. He looks around to check Magnus is nowhere to be seen before grabbing the keys.
But when Benson turns back around he finds Magnus sitting by the door with his leash in his mouth waiting patiently to see what adventure the pair are heading off on.
The hilarious clip has already been viewed over 250,000 times with TikTokers enthusiastically chiming in with their own stories, with user7327355691078 saying: “mine knows my morning routine and beats me to the door every time!”

Magnus is no stranger to the limelight, having 1.6 million followers on TikTok alone. The five-year-old lab was originally bred to be a service dog for the blind but had a career change after Benson adopted him and decided he had all the attributes to make a great therapy dog.
The lovable pooch now visits hospitals to comfort terminally ill children, adults, and their families as well as the overworked hospital staff who care for them. When he’s not busy doing his rounds, Magnus also spends time working with children who have severe learning disabilities and emotional disorders.
