If your pet is as excited for Christmas as you are, then you'll be delighted to know that PetSmart are giving your furry friends the chance to have pet photos with Santa.

Santa Photo Days is a meet-and-greet opportunity for your pets to meet Saint Nick himself and is available across PetSmart stores in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico from Dec 4-5, 11-12 and 18-19 between noon – 3 p.m.

To attend, pet parents must book their place via the PetSmart website, and arrive with their furkid in tow ready to get snap happy. The photoshoot features a festively red grotto that serves as the backdrop for your photo, while your pet can rest their paws up on the tartan covered platform right next to Santa himself.

Photos can then be taken on personal device or on a store device which will then be delivered via email.

To make the experience extra special, pet parents can also download the PetSmart app to access fun photo filters than can be using during the event.

Booking is subject to availability, with some locations being snapped up fast, so be sure to secure your place for the weekend if you love the idea.

For those who haven't managed to book a slot, or would rather participate virtually, however, PetSmart are also running a #SantaAtPetSmart contest on social media, giving 30 grand prize winners a chance to win a year's supply of premium Hill's Science Diet pet food.

Participants will be entered in a weekly drawing by posting a photo or video of at least one pet with a holiday component on their public Instagram or Twitter, mentioning @PetSmart and using the hashtags #SantaAtPetSmart and #Contest.
