Shedding season is not for the weak, and as a cat mom of two, cleaning up the constant trail of fur feels like a full-time job. I've tried my fair share of vacuums, but nothing picks up pet hair like the Miele Complete C3 Cat & Dog PowerLine – currently $80 off in the Amazon Pet Day sale.
I've wasted so much money on other 'pet-friendly' vacuums that didn't quite cut it, but after two years of using this one, I'm seriously impressed by the results. Designed with cats and dogs in mind, it features a powerful 1,200W suction that picks up absolutely everything, with four attachments to choose from:
- Electro Plus Floorhead: Ideal for medium to high-pile carpets
- Parquet Twister Floorhead: Good on hard surfaces, like tiles, wood and laminate
- Turbo Brush: Great for removing pet hair from carpets and rugs
- Extra-Long Flexible Crevice Nozzle: Helpful for reaching tight gaps, like behind the back of radiators
The C3 also comes with three tools for getting into smaller spaces, neatly stored in the built-in compartment and opened with the click of a button. These include a crevice nozzle for narrow gaps like skirting boards, a dusting brush, and an upholstery brush for fabrics.
The upholstery brush is the star of the show, removing pet hair like a dream. We have a velvet couch, which is an absolute nightmare for attracting lint, and this is the only tool that cleans it thoroughly
We use this vacuum once or twice a week and only have to change the bag on a monthly basis – sometimes even less often. The bags are easy to install, and you can buy packs of 12 for as little as $22 (like these ones from Amazon), making it reasonably affordable to stay on top of.
I can tell that this vacuum was thoughtfully designed for comfort – from the foot controls that let you change settings without bending down to the flexible hose connector that makes it easier to move around.
Vacuums like the Henry require you to manually wind up the cable, but this one rewinds effortlessly at the touch of a button, making things faster and more efficient.
While I do prefer a cordless vacuum for quick everyday top-ups, the Miele Complete C3 is perfect for a thorough clean and can be used on a range of surfaces. It might be expensive, but this vacuum is a brilliant investment that’s going to last you a long time.
