If your cats eat too fast for their own good, most behaviorists recommend investing in one of the best puzzle feeders for cats – and I've just found my favorite one for less than $10 in the Amazon Prime Day sale.

I've been using this feeder for the past year and have been really impressed with the results – my cats eat so much slower and no longer pester me straight away. If I didn't already have it, I'd be snapping up this 19% discount

This interactive feeder is great for mental and physical stimulation, featuring 80 compartments for your cat to pry their food from. It holds half a cup of dry food or a full cup of wet food.

I know this looks like a nightmare to wash, but thankfully it’s dishwasher-safe, so you won’t have to worry about cleaning each individual slot. It’s easier than you think to fill with wet food – simply squeeze your sachet on top and spread it evenly with the back of a spoon. It also works great for rationing out the best cat treats!

Catstages makes some of the best puzzle feeders I've ever tested, and I love how they're made from food-safe materials, free from BPA, PVC, and phthalates. The discount isn’t the best, but my cats also enjoy using their Buggin' Out Puzzle, which I'd highly recommend for beginners.

Puzzle feeders are the easiest way to boost your cat's enrichment; they only require a couple of minutes of your time, but will keep your cat occupied for much longer.

Benefits of cat puzzle feeders

Slow down eating: If your cat vomits after their meal, chances are they’re eating too quickly. By using a cat puzzle feeder, you'll significantly reduce their speed and save yourself from cleaning up the mess later.

Reduce destructive behavior: Boredom can lead to unwanted behaviors like aggression and overgrooming. By providing plenty of mental stimulation, you'll address the root cause of many behavioral issues.

Prevent overeating: When your cat eats more slowly and carefully, they’re less likely to overeat or beg for more food afterward. In turn, this can help prevent obesity and weight gain.

Encourage foraging instincts: Puzzle feeders tap into your cat's natural foraging and hunting instincts, keeping their brain sharp and their mind happy.

For under $10, this deal is worth snapping up!

How long do Prime Day deals last?

Amazon Prime Day 2025 will run from July 8–11, making it the first four-day event in history. The sale might be longer this year, but I've noticed some deals disappearing randomly, so I wouldn't wait around too long to avoid disappointment.
