We thought the day Taylor Swift joins TikTok would never come, so we had seriously big smiles on our dials when we found out the pop singer had finally signed up. Even more exciting? She’s using it as a cat account!

Swift has always been open about her love of cats, in fact, the 31-year-old singer adores them so much she has three! Mom to two Scottish Folds named Meredith Grey and Olivia Benson, after her favorite characters in the hit TV shows Grey’s Anatomy and Law and Order: SVU, Swift also has a ragdoll named Benjamin Button.

Taking to TikTok to promote the vinyl edition of the upcoming release of the re-recording of ‘Red’, Swift was quick to wrack up an impressive 3.3 million followers.

“Lots going on at the moment,” the singer wrote on her channel @taylorswift. “Red (my version) vinyl is up for presale on my site and oh I’m on TikTok now let the games begin. #SwiftTok.”

But it was her tagline that really got her fans talking: ‘This is pretty much just a cat account,’ which suggests we’re going to be seeing plenty of Swift’s feline furkids in the coming months.

Swift’s cats are definitely no strangers to the spotlight with all three having appeared in her 2019 music video “Me!”, which featured Panic At The Disco’s Brendon Urie. You’ll spot Meredith and Olivia chilling out on the sofa around the 00.24 mark and Benjamin makes an appearance around 2.10.

Taylor adopted Benjamin in the middle of filming “Me!” and recounts the moment she fell head over heels in love with him.

"[The handler] handed me this tiny cat and he just starts purring and...he looks at me like, ‘You’re my mom, and we’re going to live together.’ I fell in love. I looked at Brendon and he’s like, ‘You’re going to get the cat, aren’t you?’" she explained.

While Swift has only posted four videos to her account, her third upload titled ‘lookatmycat’ starts with the singer lounging on her bed with a very cute looking Benjamin before moving on to show a series of adorable snaps of the Ragdoll.
