A Titanic cat trailer, which shows Leonardo DiCaprio’s character Jack falling in love with a black kitty instead of Kate Winslet’s Rose, is the perfect medicine if you’re in need of a laugh.

The hilarious 60 second clip begins with Leo holding a black-haired, golden-eyed cat as he gazes down the stairs towards Kate before proceeding to take us through some of the film's most beloved scenes while Celine Dion’s ‘My Heart Will Go On’ plays in the background.

Another huge hit for the Twitter account OwlKitty, which has produced a range of parody videos that take famous films and edit the little black cat in to create a minute of lighthearted relief, this latest offering is the purr-fect example of why OwlKitty has become so popular over the last year.

The star of the show is two-year-old Lizzy who lives with her owner Tibo Charroppin in Portland, Oregon. Together the pair have accrued millions of followers across their social media platforms with their Titanic trailer amassing more than 4 million views since it was released on the 13th of February.

Editing Lizzy into a range of iconic scenes, our favorite part shows the black cat with wide eyes and an open mouth being spun round the dance floor by Leo before posing for the infamous ‘nude’ portrait.

And of course, no spoof trailer of Titanic would be complete without Lizzy being held up by Leo at the bow of the ship with paws outstretched as she imagines what it would be like to fly.

Laughter has been echoing out around the globe as OwlKitty and Titanic fans rush to share their comments on the trailer, with one user writing “This was only posted today and it's already legitimately embarrassing how many times I've watched this! Love it!!” and another chiming in with “ That’s one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen! I can’t stop laughing. The look on Kate Winslet’s face when she saw the drawing!”

If you’re not already familiar with OwlKitty or are yet to watch their latest clip, be sure to check it out, it’s guaranteed to brighten up your day and have you laughing out loud.
