Liz is an accomplished freelance writer with a passion for animal welfare based in Phoenix, Arizona. She worked at Best Friends Animal Society—a national welfare agency—for over 20 years, managing community cat programs and spearheading projects that improved animal well-being in the shelter environment. Today, Liz shares her expertise with animal rescues, shelters, and other supportive animal-related businesses as an independent consultant. She lives with a lively feline family of five (plus the occasional foster kitten or rabbit) and takes delight in offering tours at her local wildlife rescue and sanctuary.
